Activities For and About Kids

Event Sponsors

The Festival is envisioned as a family-friendly event appropriate for the whole family. Consequently, a number of physical, cultural, and artistic events are being planned for kids of all ages. Our aim is also to facilitate interactions with a culturally, ethnically and racially diverse pool of peers from across the Delaware Valley.

Kids Carnival

Event Time: TBD
Consists of inflatable slides, bouncy rooms, carnival-style games with prizes, as well as face and henna painting.

Youth Talent Show

Event Time: TBD
The Festival will display a wide variety of artistic expression from local youth, including spoken-word performances, comedy sketches/stand-up segments, nasheed (singing) performances, cultural dances from different ethnic groups. This portion of the Festival spotlights local upcoming talent, allowing young people to express themselves and share their experiences and struggles of growing up as religious/ethnic/racial minorities in America.

International Montessori Schools (IMS)

Event Time: TBD
IMS utilizes a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play to discover the child’s true potential.  Children make creative choices in their learning through appropriate activities to guide the process. Montessori experts will model a Montessori classroom and how cultural differences are facilitated in this setting.

"We are committed to presenting a festival whose performers and organizers are as racially and ethnically diverse as the great metropolis they call home. And as a consequence of this goal of diversity, all events at the Festival will be available without tickets, so that all who visit one of the many Festival venues can do so for free."
We firmly believe this festival can make a positive impact on interfaith understanding, especially in a region founded upon the creed of religious tolerance. By celebrating our cultural differences, the festival challenges the purveyors of bigotry and hate, and seeks to strengthen the bonds between different communities of faith by fostering mutual understanding across religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Your sponsorship will demonstrate your commitment to these ideals.  Your support will make this festival and all the events associated with it free-of-charge and open to the public.
