Social Impact and Unprecedented Reach
The Philadelphia Communities Arts and Culture Festival is a celebration of the diversity and cultural richness of the Muslim population (numbering approximately 400,000) in the Greater Delaware Valley. The total cost of the multi-month festival is $500,000. With your support, we hope to make all events associated with the festival free-of-charge and open to the public.


Presented by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA), Islamic Cultural Preservation and Information Council (ICPIC), and Muslim City Fest (MCF), this project is of historic importance to the Muslim community, as well as to the general public of the Greater Delaware Valley. 


We firmly believe the Festival can make a positive impact on interfaith understanding, especially in a region founded upon the creed of religious tolerance. By celebrating our cultural differences, the festival will be challenging the purveyors of bigotry and hate, strengthening the bonds between different communities of faith by fostering mutual understanding across religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.


In this spirit, this fun-filled and inspirational series of educational and entertaining events can impact generations of regional residents. The festival offers an opportunity for participants to share in the experiences of another culture through educational presentations, international folklore performances, panel discussions with well-known university scholars of Islamic Studies, a gala concert performed by popular Muslim musicians and singers, an international fashion exhibit, interactive programs for children, international bazaar, and the opportunity to taste various foods from around the Muslim world.
